This picture is clearly trying to show that places that either willingly or are required to pronounce that there are no weapons in the area are extremely vulnerable to criminals looking for places to target. While we agree that this puts these places such as schools and hospitals in danger, we recognize that it is a difficult problem to solve. There has to be a midpoint between not notifying people at all and telling criminals that they can do whatever they want and face no immediate opposition, and that is where we will hopefully find a solution.
@Happily Ever After, i agree this is a difficult cocept, but the cartoon iss just saying that everyone should be able to have a gun for example or defense system to protect themselves.
I find the sarcasm in this ad kind of annoying, actually. Not owning guns is a choice, and I understand that some people think having no guns means you are automatically defenseless. However, signs like this are obviously not displayed. A place that does not support the possession of guns is not more liable to be attacked than a place that is armed with guns.
@Sabreen, i dont think A place that does not support the possession of guns is not more liable to be attacked than a place that is armed with guns. Many armed stores have a sign or warning of having defense weapons and arent as likely to be attacked. If a criminal knows a store doesnt have any guns or is anit-guns they would probably favor attacking the defenseless store.
